The East Ridge Police Department is a full service, state certified police agency
providing our citizens with excellent services from several divisions including; patrol division, criminal investigations division, special operations division, records/communications division and specialized units such as canine officer, school resource officer and traffic investigators.

Chief JR Reed is the Chief of Police for East Ridge. Chief Reed has been with East Ridge since 1989 and has risen through the ranks. He has been an asset to the City during his tenure and continues to make improvements to keep our City safe.

Assistant Chief Stan Allen joined the East Ridge Police Department after a 28-year career with the Chattanooga Police Department. A/C Allen is a longtime resident of East Ridge and is committed to working with the department and residents to provide the best police service possible.

Captain Tim Mullinax supervises Administrative Services, which consist of the Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Communications/Records Divisions, and Special Operations Division which also consist of the SWAT team, canine team, crime prevention division, and tactical patrol division.
